Resins

Resin is an organic secretion produced by many plants, particularly cone-bearing trees.

It is highly valued for its chemical properties and associated uses, such as the production of varnishes, adhesives and food additives. It is also a common component of perfumes or incense.

ROSIN
It is the main product obtained from pine resin, which remains as a non-volatile residue after turpentine distillation. It is a glassy, crystalline and fragile solid, insoluble in water but soluble in most organic solvents.
It is classified and sold according to its color. The best quality is pale-yellow-brown. Some physical and chemical characteristics may influence the quality criteria mainly depending on pine species. Its main uses include manufacturing of adhesives, printing ink, insulating materials for the electronics industry, synthetic rubber, chewing gum, soaps and detergents.

TURPENTINE

Liquid phase of pine resin; widely used in the chemical industry through its multiple derivatives as a source of aromas, fragrances, insecticides, solvents, etc.
Turpentine is a clear, inflammable liquid, is immiscible in water and has a boiling point above 150 °C rich in alpha and beta pinene. Usually used as a solvent for paints and varnishes or as a cleaning agent, its derivatives are widely used in fragrances and vitamins.
The main derivative of turpentine is synthetic pine oil, used in disinfectants, cleaning agents and other pine-scented products.

PINE RESIN (MIERA)

It comes from the primary extraction directly form cultivated trees. It is a very important natural product due to its versatility and compositional variation, which allows obtaining derivatives with high added value.

PINE 50 AND PINE 75

Derived from turpentine, these oils are used for their pleasant smell and disinfectant and bactericidal action. They are used in the production of a wide range of products of the cleaning industry, and as aromatizers and solvents in the textile industry.

TERPINEOL

It is one of the most important synthetic fragrances, due to its pleasant smell, mainly used in different types of fragrance formulations.

TERPENYL ACETATES AND ISOBORNYL (only upon request)

They are very stable Esters of fresh fragrance, widely used in bath and perfume products as aromatizers and antiseptics.
